We were delayed in Skagway due to a train break down and they had to hold the ship. We spent most of the day at sea. It was a warmer day so we sat out by the pool. We got into Victoria 2.5 hours late so we had the evening to spend there.
Victoria was a unique stop. You got off in a warehouse and they provided maps of the city. Victoria had lots of interesting buildings and lots of water.
We took the long walking path to downtown.
They had flowers everywhere and shrubbery sculptures. Also lots of street musicians.
We took the long way back to the ship from downtown to go to Beacon Hill Park. On the map it looked beautiful and on the outer ring it was, however, the middle of the park was dead weeds and homeless camps. That was not what we had anticipated.
As we walked down the street we did see a fountain and a bridge that was beautiful.
We saw a path to go to the beach. It was stairs an a ramp straight down. The beach was rocky and strewn with downed trees. The rocks moving with the water was a really cool sound.
After going back up the ramp and steps to the walking path, we headed back to the ship. It was at least a mile away.
Lego man enjoying the view of the water and mountains across from Victoria.
Our ship in port.
If you look really carefully at this picture you will see a window with a sticky note which is our stateroom.
Views of looking out from the port.
The ship had hand sanitizer stations everywhere so Lego man wanted a picture with one.
The smokestack at night. We left Victoria around 10:30 pm.
