July 5-Picnic on the Peaks

We had a picnic up on the San Francisco Peaks. Unfortunately, it started to rain after we finished eating but we still took a short hike in the rain.

Ellie wanted everyone else's sandwich but her's. She is eagerly eating Opa's sandwich.

July 4-One Tired Girl

We went to see Wall-E in the theater with Oma and Opa. Which Ellie found to be very emotionally draining. She felt every emotion of Wall-E and started crying when Wall-E appeared to be in trouble. She also cried at the end because there was no more Wall-E and she missed him. Since Flagstaff did not have a fireworks show we watched fireworks on TV. We tried to keep Ellie up to watch them but she was worn out! She is asleep with the bright light on.

We warned her that it was going to hurt several times but she was still all for it.
Obviously it hurt but she made it through with only a few tears and recovered quickly.
