We joined Sarah, Jolee, and their kids at Tempe Beach Splash Park. The kids had a great time and didn’t want to leave. Eve wasn’t sure of it at first but she eventually was very comfortable. It was not too bad sitting in the shade and watching the kids play and getting wet a little ourselves.
Eve has gotten to where she tells us that her diaper needs changed so we thought it is time to start potty training. She has great helpers. Nate and Ellie sit on the big potty while she sits on the little potty. Last night we had our first success. We will have to see if this keeps going.

I didn’t get any pictures of the show afterward and I wish I had a video. We played a joke on Pastor John. He usually does “Discovery Time” with the kids on Sunday morning and our kids don’t always sit perfectly still. Each kid has their unique characteristics when they go up to the front. We did one last discovery time with Pastor John except the adults ran up instead of the kids. All the adults tried to mimic their child’s characteristics. Our friend Phil checked out all the microphone cubbies just like his son Garrett, Bernard threw his shoe just like his son LB, Paul ran up with his arms flailing and tried to interrupt pastor many times just like Nate, Tom tried to sit still but eventually waved to the audience like his son Mason, and I twirled on stage just like Ellie. Our kids thought it was hilarious!
