Who knew that cotton candy sticks could be such fun! They were javelins, swords, and double-bladed flying objects.

We had a lice weekend! OR We had a louse-y weekend!

Ellie turned out to have a lice infestation last Saturday so Paul and I couldn’t go on our date we had planned. We spent the rest of Saturday shampooing and nitpicking the kids’ heads. Luckily Nate only had five bugs and a small amount of nits on his head and Eve only had one bug and a few nits. We used Rid the first time but then were told about some natural shampoo called TLC (Total Lice Control) that worked so much better. TLC will also help clear your nasal passages. The best thing about the TLC is that you can use it everyday which was so much better than picking at Ellie’s head everyday. All the kids are now lice free!

Don’t we all look so excited?!

Ellie and I spent most of the week in this same sort of situation. One night we spent 4 hours picking at her head.

In case you want to see what this stuff looks like. On the left are nits and on the right is a dead louse.

Feed My Starving Children

We often volunteer at FMSC with our church. We couldn’t find a babysitter for Eve so we took her along this time. The FMSC staff were very nice and allowed Eve and I to do stickers on the bags. Normally you have to be 5 to help. Eve lasted about an hour helping me with stickers. She was such a good helper! I think she wants to go every time.
