Sweet

Nate and Ellie get to stay in Flagstaff with Oma and Opa next week and Nate wanted to know if baby Eve was also going to stay. We said no she wasn’t going to stay. You could see his brain working and he came up with this “They sell sweet milk at the store for baby Eve so she can stay too.” He really likes his baby sister.

Continuing a Tradition

My (Mandy) mom always made these quick sugar cookies for my teachers in elementary school. We made some for Nate’s teacher. The kids loved decorating them with sprinkles.

Nate’s 6th Birthday

We celebrated Nate’s birthday with family on Saturday after he and Ellie went to the train park with Oma and Opa.

Nate’s teacher allows you to bring a treat on your child’s birthday. Nate wanted peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies. So at the end of the day Nate got some special birthday time. The teacher has the birthday kid make a crown that they wear all day. All of Nate’s classmates know Ellie so she fit right in. Nate got to pass out the treats. Nate announced that after everyone was done with their cookies that everyone could line up to see Eve. All the kids enjoyed looking at her.

Right after school we went to Peter Piper Pizza. They had plenty of time to play and we practically had the place to ourselves until about 5.

Nate wanted the cinnamon pizza as his birthday cake.

We went back home to open some presents.

We then headed out to look at Christmas lights. The pictures are from a display that is timed to music and has bubble and snow-making machines. The kids loved watching it and dancing in the snow.

Snuggie

IMG_5551

Ellie talks a lot about how she wants a Snuggie and gets very excited whenever she sees one in the store or on TV. At my (Mandy) work white elephant exchange I stole the lovely leopard Snuggie rather than unwrap some unknown treasure. Ellie was very excited when she saw the box!

Bathtub

After a lot of hard work the bathtub is in.

The kids had fun looking through the drain hole into the downstairs bathroom.

Hummingbirds

We have two hummingbirds that have claimed our feeder. They even buzz us when we go out the door. Stormy loves to watch the action.

Kids

This is how Eve looks when we take her to the bus stop. She is so cozy she usually naps for a while in the stroller.

The kids thought Eve needed covered up and some animals. She didn’t seem to mind.
