Each kid in the school designs a small square of art that gets put into a collage. Ellie’s is on the left and Nate’s is on the right.
On the Friday before Mother’s Day, Eve’s class had a Mother’s/Grandmother’s Tea. They did a program for us and gave us gifts. We also had cake, fruit kebabs, chocolate covered strawberries, and pink party punch.
We visited with my Grandma on Saturday and had dinner at IHOP. On Sunday we had Barro’s pizza for lunch with my parents and Mike.
On Mother’s Day they hand out flowers to all the ladies at church. There were a bunch left over and we took them home.
This is what they looked like when I put them in vases. I wasn’t sure the purple ones were going to make it.
I put pennies in the water (my friend told me that trick) and the next day they looked like this.
I got a bouquet of flowers for the kids to take flowers out of for flower day for Teacher Appreciation Week. This cheery flower was in that bouquet so I took it to work because I needed something cheery at work.

Paul’s grandparents were getting rid of some stuff including this older style popcorn popper. The kids were fascinated by it and had fun watching it pop. We just need to remember to watch out for those kernels that don’t pop in the popper but instead pop once they are in the bowl.
Eve and I went on a long bike ride on April 11 and stopped at a couple parks on the way.
Nate and Ellie convinced me that they could ride their bikes all the way to El Dorado Park on April 27. They did a great job riding the 5 mile round trip. We stopped to play at the park.
We also stopped at Indian School Park.
