About 10:15 on Monday morning a palm tree fell on our van while I was at work. That is not the way I wanted to start my work week! It has been such a pain figuring everything out with the insurance since the insurance company for the building says they were not negligent in the care of the tree and therefore they won’t pay. The tree was growing over a part of the pond that had running water so the tree did not have deep roots. There was no wind on Monday so I have no idea why it all of the sudden decided to fall over. The van needed a new paint job but this was an extreme way to get it. The collision center is going to replace the roof and the windshield and give it a new paint job to the tune of about $8,000. Good thing we have insurance and our deductible is only $100!

Weekend with friends
We got to watch our friend’s kids over the weekend while they had a weekend together. We had a good time!
BFFs (Best Friends Forever) Already the girls wanted to “match.” Eve wanted her brown sandals and a ponytail just like Miren’s. These two are great friends and it is so fun to listen to them talk to each other.
Miren loved Stormy!
We built a fort in Nate’s clean room. They called it their castle.
