Saturday
Gate rides are fun!
So is flinging rocks using the plastic barrier poles.
At first I thought this was fake until Lance went to touch it and it moved.
Nate borrowed a spiky helmet.
Sword fighting was a popular thing to do. On the right Jon is fending off all the young ones.
Making stew or something like that. Includes dirt, ashes, grass, etc.
Playing volleyball.
Geocaching.
Walking to the second geocache was all uphill for about a mile (I am not exaggerating). The kids did really good! They didn’t start mentioning their feet hurt until we were almost back to camp and then we saw our truck coming up the road. Daddy saved the day. If only he had thought to rescue us sooner.
The storm clouds over the mountain.
Eve an Miren are best of friends. They are so cute together!
Hanging out in the “Pickle”
Sunday
The forecast called for rain but we didn’t expect snow when we woke up in the morning. It started raining at 1 am. It must have started snowing at 4 am when it started to sound like the water was being blown from the trees and not actually falling. Good thing we had our heater!
The dirt road was sloppy and slippery.
After the mud we flung on the trailer from the sloppy dirt road, we were driving into this huge wall of rain. The rain was hard enough to almost wash all the mud off.
About 45 minutes down the road, almost to the 101, it was sunny and dry. It was just a break in the clouds because it rained more later.
