We went to the splash pad at Tempe Marketplace yesterday. The kids thought it was a lot of fun.

Swimming season is upon us
Paul dared going to the pool with all three kids by himself. The kids love swimming! Nate and Ellie are good swimmers and are learning how to dive. Eve is a great swimmer without floaties but we are working on teaching her to lift her head above water to breathe. Eve has no fear and will swim and jump off the side without her floaties and she doesn’t worry about if someone is there to catch her.
Talent Show
Ellie and her friend Anna did a duet of Ollie the Octopus (from the school musical). There were supposed to be four girls and they were supposed to do a slumber party skit before they sang. Unfortunately, two of the girls didn’t make it to the show. Ellie was very disappointed that they didn’t get to do the acting part before the singing. The girls did a great job singing.
Nate was the slapstick guy for one of the acts.
Nate designed this talent show cover. Each cover was made by a 3rd-5th grade student.
Eve likes to take pictures. For entertainment between acts she took these pictures.
Eve and her Grammy.

Mother’s Day Weekend
On Saturday we went to a tea party at church. The girls like tea unlike their Mother and Oma. Eve liked both green and black tea and Ellie liked the black tea. Eve liked it even better once she found the sugar cubes.
We went to Logan’s Roadhouse for Mother’s Day dinner for my mom and me. The kids wore their boots and “cowboy” hats.
On Sunday at church, every woman was given a tulip. After church, we went to Barro’s pizza for lunch with Great Grandma.
