Zoo on a beautiful afternoon

Nate had a half day today and I  (Mandy) flexed the afternoon so we could go to the zoo as a family. It was a beautiful day for it and not busy at all.

 

Ellie appears to be holding up the udderless cow. Nate is pretending to milk it without udders.

Eve was so happy to just be walking around. The funny thing was she wouldn’t walk on the concrete that had air bubbles in it she would only crawl on it. She would only walk on the nice smooth concrete.

Eve liked the baboons.

Eve made it all the way to the top of the treehouse. If you look closely, we are in the window.

Eve is so proud of herself when she walks.

We got to see some of the normally sleeping animals awake.

Crazy Hair Day

It is spirit week at Nate’s school this week and today was crazy hair day. We did their hair the night before so Nate’s would be good and crazy. This year he was very concerned that he would look like a girl and be confused for one when going into the boy’s bathroom (last year he didn’t care). We put Nate’s hair in ponytails and braids and hairsprayed it before he went to sleep. I braided all of Ellie’s hair and then we took out the braid’s tonight. Eve wanted in the action too so she got a little ponytail.

Earlier this week and weekend fun

Playing at the park. It is so nice now that the kids don’t need to be pushed on the swings anymore. Nate has been practicing at school for the last couple weeks and is now a pro. Ellie picked it up very quickly once Nate could do it.

We went to Avery’s birthday party on Saturday night. They had glowsticks for everyone.
