The Superbowl was in Phoenix this year and so there were lots of events going on around the city. The ESPN Fan Fest was near the Scottsdale mall and it was free so we decided to go.
We rode the trolley to get there but did not realize until we were getting off that the last trolley was leaving at 6 pm so we were not going to be able to ride the trolley back to our car.
The kids wanted me to take a picture of these flowers while we waited for the trolley.
Kicking soccer balls.
Shooting basketballs.
Coke photo booth.
The KIND bar booth had flowers that you could give out to others. The girls kept one for themselves and then gave the others to unsuspecting people along the way.
It was crazy hair day at school that day so Nate’s hair was purple and green.
Since we missed the last trolley we were trying to decide what to do so we went into the mall to eat. We got cookies at Paradise Bakery as we tried to decide what to eat and how to get home. We decided to walk home since it was about a mile home and it was a nice night. We stopped along the way to check out the doors on the corner of Scottsdale and Camelback Roads. Ellie has been asking to go inside these doors for over a year so we can finally mark this off her to do list.
We ate dinner at Julio Too and then walked home. Paul then hitched a ride with the neighbor back to our car.
