Cleaning Up, Part 3

Today, Paul and Nate went to work on Nate’s room. We bought them kitchen tables that hang on the wall from IKEA to use as desks with the idea that they would be folded down unless being used. We will see if we can keep them from collecting clutter.

Nate actually has floor in his room and room to play! The white thing on the wall below the window is his new desk.

Nate has been a super helper while Ellie is in Flagstaff. He has been helping me clean up Ellie’s room and today spent about 5 hours cleaning up his room with Paul. It is great that Nate doesn’t have the stress of school right now.

Cleaning Up, Part 2

More decluttering and it all started with Paul suggesting that we get rid of our TV and this cabinet from our room.

Stuff going away, yeah!

As I was cleaning up I found something Stormy chewed on. Doesn’t he look guilty and sorry? I think he is saying “I’m sorry Mom, I can’t resist!”

We bought some IKEA book shelves to put in our room so I can store all my craft stuff and mementos. Ellie enjoyed drawing on the box.

Cleaning Up

I have been on a declutter mission for the last 2 weeks and one of my projects was to dismantle the picture boards from our wedding. I took pictures of them so that I could remember what they said and looked like. The kids had great fun looking at all our “old” pictures.

More Randomness

Eve wanted to hold the baby.

Eve went out to play in the “snow.” Obviously she was pretending. For some reason she thought my wedge sandals would be the perfect snow shoes.

Paul and the other kids went to a birthday/housewarming party so Eve and I went on a dinner date and then she came with me to Bible study. She was very excited about her happy meal toy!

Our friends house (where Bible study was) has chickens that roam around (in the middle of the city). I used the opportunity to show Eve what a chicken looks like since she loves to “Cock-a-doodle” at us all the time.

Why did the chickens cross the road? To get away from Eve!

Birthday Party

Eve’s friend (I would say best friend) turned 3. She is friends with our other kids too.

Random

In both our families it is tradition to have a picture like this with the big earphones so here is Eve’s.

I was talking to someone at work about my struggle with too much stuff and the baskets of stained clothes. When I described the black shirt to her she said why don’t you cut the white part off. What a great idea that I would never come up with (I am very black and white). Before and after and the girls each got back one of there shirts.
