Saturday and Sunday

Saturday-we went to Link’s first birthday party at the splash pad. The kids had a great time.

Sunday-Eve got a hold of Paul’s sour cream and was creating art.

Swimming Sunday afternoon. We liked Nate’s hairdo.

Eve still loves her broccoli! She even threw a temper tantrum (on the floor kicking and everything) because we had no more broccoli. She then cheered excitedly when I brought home more from the store.

Celebrating Good Report Cards

Both Nate and Ellie received good report cards so the tradition is to go to Peter Piper Pizza. Nate is always done with his tokens first and got a small set of dominoes. Ellie got a lot of tickets for once and then used it to buy rubber snakes (not sure why). Eve won 500 tickets on one game. She exclaimed “I big one” meaning she got the big prize. She got some small stuffed animals.

Hanging out at the mall

The kids loved this seat in VS. I only needed one quick thing but they wanted to stay to sit on this seat.

Playing in the play place. Eve is now a big girl and can do it all on her own. She even made a friend.

Budget form time

It is budget form time and therefore my desk looks like this. We will hopefully be done tomorrow.

Larson Ridge-Monday

The end of the road that gets you out on a tip that juts into the canyon.

One more hammock picture before the camping trip is done.

IMG_8663

The drive back to the valley was so nice because there was no traffic. If only every year were like that.

IMG_8666

Another great camping trip despite the wind and the cold!

Larson Ridge-Sunday

Major bedhead to start the morning.

This lovely caterpillar crawled up my pants. It was huge!

Having cocoa and coffee with Oma.

More Ranger time. It can also be used as a jungle gym. Eve thought she should be able to drive it.

Gummy bear teeth.

I took the girls for a drive while Paul and some others were hiking. We made it quite a ways down the road. Paul taught me all the 4 wheel drive skills I know. We were headed for the tip that goes out to the canyon but it got too rocky for me so we took a little walk.

Eve fell asleep.  It was loud and windy but she had not taken a nap at all while camping so she just couldn’t resist. We eventually leaned her over onto Nicole’s lap.

The girls in the back.

Mrs. Kraker’s (aka Cacker) feet. Maybe flip flops weren’t a good idea.

IMG_8620

This time Paul drove and we made it to the end of the tip. I am glad I did not attempt it. It was a beautiful view of the canyon!

It made Eve sleepy later on in the day.

IMG_8654

Since the wind stopped we could finally play ladder golf.

Eve stole Doug’s chair and declared it comfy.

The hike that the others took down to the creek.

Eve thought Mr. Faber’s truck needed washing so she took her wipe and cleaned his truck.

Thanks to the Fabers we enjoyed tacos and burritos for dinner. The girls were tired. Nate asked to go to bed this night.
