Road Trip to Prescott

To try out the new van we took a road trip to Prescott. We met Oma and Opa there and brought Oma back with us. Unfortunately, Ellie was not feeling good with a stomach bug and then Eve came down with it on the drive back down. Good thing we had a bucket and a towel along. Every one of our kids has thrown up in that particular car seat so Eve couldn’t let it feel left out. Luckily, Paul knows very well how to take it apart. Made for an interesting trip.

Our new van

We bought a 2009 Volkswagen Routan to replace the Astro van. It rides much smoother and is so much quieter than the Astro. It also has sliding doors on both sides and lots of storage spots.

Using up old crayons

I saw this idea on a blog. Nate filled up the heart cupcake pan with pieces of broken crayons. We then melted them in the oven. Now we have fun multicolor heart crayons.

Walk to School

Nate has been wanting to walk or ride his bike to school. On Friday we walked to school. Nate decided he didn’t want to walk to school again but that he would want to ride his bike.

On the way back from dropping off Nate and Ellie at school, we dropped by to feed the ducks.
