We woke up to a cloudy and drizzly day in Juneau. Luckily we had nice rain jackets. Our ship was docked at the farthest away berth so we had to take a bus to town.
Once we got into town we got on the bus to go up to Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls.
City of Juneau. Very green and lots of flowers. We stopped to get coffee at a local coffee stand before heading back to the ship.
View out of the port.
The splash in these pictures is the jumping salmon.
Hanging out by the pool. However, since it was the coldest day we were using blankets by the pool.
We had the shortest day in Juneau because we were going to Sawyer Glacier that is at the end of Tracy Arm Fjord. This was the best scenery of the whole trip so I posted a lot of pictures. We saw waterfalls, glaciers, icebergs and an ice field.
We made it to Sawyer Glacier. At this point we were cold and wet. It felt like we had been playing in the snow for hours. The ship made a 360 turn here so that we could go back out of the fjord.
Time to warm up and eat dinner.
It was seafood night so they had lots of fun food and ice sculptures at the buffet.
Pig towel.
