Downtown Skagway.
We decided to hike to Lower Reid Falls. Which was much farther away than we anticipated and we walked instead of taking a tram. We walked all the way through the town and past the train depot.
You then have to walk through an old cemetery. It was beautifully green and filled with these big green leafed plants. At this point we were dragging but another couple encouraged us to keep going that it was worth the trek.
We made it! It was beautiful!
Lego man hanging out with the greenery and the falls.
The mountain view and a flower on the walk back to downtown.
We stopped for ice cream at a local shop. While we were sitting there a big black bird flew in the door. It couldn’t figure out how to get out and kept thumping into the windows. The girl working at the shop did not notice the commotion until the bird had been flying around for a while. The second picture shows here telling the bird to get out the door. The bird did eventually find its way out but not because the girl showed him the door.
Building covered in sticks. One of the most photographed buildings in Skagway.
After our long walk and ice cream, we headed back to the ship to relax until we left the port.
Leaving Skagway and heading out to sea. We had some awesome views of the sun peaking through the clouds. There was also a very picturesque lighthouse out in the middle of the water. Also included in this set of pictures are glaciers and waterfalls.
Towel bunny.
