Our first full day was spent at sea. We read, did crosswords, napped, and lounged. We also ate a lot since food was always available. It is crazy to look out and see nothing but ocean. You have no idea whether you are near land or which way the land might be. You can tune in to a TV channel that will show you the location of the ship.
This was one of our favorite spots, the back of the ship.
The “Bridge” where the captain sits.
This was only the second time we ate at one of the restaurants instead of the buffet. After this experience, we stuck with the buffet.
It was so nice to have an unobstructed picture window in our stateroom. If you look carefully, these two pictures are of whales. The first is a spout and the second is a tail. I saw a spout and tail right outside my window but of course I didn’t have my camera.
That night we sailed into fog and got to hear the fog horn on the ship.
