Walking up the street to catch the parking lot bus to Disneyland.

First ride was Star Tours. We all donned our cool 3D glasses.

Next up was Autopia.

We kept trying to get on Space Mountain but it was closed when we went over there so we tried to go on the Matterhorn and it closed while we were in line. Ellie was convinced that someone had died on the Matterhorn and was relieved that she wasn’t going to ride it.

We took a break off the side while Opa ran to get fast passes and to regroup. Here the kids all have on their 1st visit Disneyland buttons and Ellie got a birthday button.

So next we headed to Dumbo. Dumbo is always a long, long wait. Eve loved the ride so she thought it was well worth the wait.

We heard Big Thunder Mountain running so we went over to get in line even though we thought it was closed. Turns out it was open for crew members only. So we made that extra walk for no reason. We ended up back in Tomorrowland. We rode Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. We were chosen as the carriers of the wait time verification card which we thought was kind of cool.

We finally got to ride the Matterhorn. Ellie was crying and stomping her feet about not wanting to get on the ride. Opa put her on the ride screaming and she came back smiling and even rode it a second time with Daddy (we used a companion pass which was really handy). While waiting in line Opa ran to Indiana Jones to get FastPasses.

While Paul and the kids rode the Matterhorn, Eve and I rode the carousel.

We finally got to ride Space Mountain. It was Eve’s favorite ride. She was very excited that it went fast! Ellie got on the ride crying and got off the ride crying. Nate was not a fan. I did learn that if your kids are upset at Disneyland they get stickers to try and make them happy. The kids were also rewarded for riding Space Mountain with ice cream.

Next we headed towards Tom Sawyer’s Island but first went up in Tarzan’s treehouse.

Next stop was Tom Sawyer’s Island. Opa ran to get FastPasses for Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin while we waited.

Toontown was our next stop. Roger Rabbit’s cartoon spin was closed when we got there to use our fast passes so we had some fun while we waited.

We did get to ride Roger Rabbit and toured Toontown. Here we are trudging back to get something to eat.

The kids hit a wall and were very tired and Ellie had sore legs and it was time for dinner. We wanted Monte Cristo sandwiches but the wait was over 45 minutes. We eventually found food that sounded good. Mostly we just wanted to sit.

After dinner Opa, Paul, Nate, Ellie, and I went to Indiana Jones. Eve and Oma went on the tea cups since Eve wasn’t tall enough for Indiana Jones. Ellie did not want to ride this ride and once she read the warning sign she really did not want to ride it. I put her on the ride crying. On the way back to find Oma, Ellie admitted she liked Indiana Jones.

We decided to all ride the tea cups.

The Matterhorn looked really cool with the bright moonlight.

While Paul, Nate, and Oma went to the store for Nate to build a light saber, Opa, Ellie, Eve, and I rode the Storybook Canal Boats. The girls got to sit on the front of the boat and be whale watchers.

Last ride of the night was Casey Jr. Circus Train. We were in the wild animals cage.

Walking down Main Street to end our fun but somewhat stressful day (because of ride closures and children meltdowns).
