My dear friend and coworker Roger was diagnosed with stage colon cancer in May 2014. He had been doing chemo treatments and even tried a clinical trial drug but nothing made the tumors shrink. It became evident at the end of April that the end was near. His wife put together a birthday/celebration of life/goodbye party for Roger with a Hawaiian theme since he couldn't travel. My kids always liked to come see Roger because he had toys and candy. He was always so kind to me and my family. He passed away on May 27 and he will be missed.
