Saturday in Vegas

Since the pool at our hotel was not exciting we read our book in our room and made it through two chapters. We decided to take a nap. We woke up to colored sun rays on the ceiling.

We never realized how many mountains there are around Las Vegas until this trip.

That night at the Fremont Street Experience they were having a free concert. This night it was Tonic and Sister Hazel. We hadn’t heard of either of them but thought it would be fun to check out the concert. Before the concert was an Elvis impersonator. We left after Tonic’s first song because the lightning and rain were coming (according to the weather map we were in the red and yellow for severity of the storm). After we thought the rain had stopped we headed back out for Sister Hazel. It started to pour again so mostly everyone headed for cover. We ended up under the overhang for the gentleman’s club (not on purpose). As they say, the show must go on, and after they swept off the rain the show did go on. We recognized one song the whole night but we had fun anyway.
