When we got home from Jambo we saw the road was blocked off and lots of our neighbors were milling around on the side of the road. Turns out we had no power since a drunk driver took out the power pole.
We spent the next 4 hours with these.
The kids weren’t sure that we could do anything without power. They thought it was odd to take a bath by candlelight. It was a good teaching moment. The power was back on much sooner than we had originally been told.
