Pinewood Derby

This was Nate’s first year participating in Cadets and his first Pinewood Derby. He wanted his car to look like Daddy’s truck.

Nate got a big chocolate bar for being the most fuel efficient car in the Palm Lane races. He didn’t know why he got the candy but was very excited about it. Later he asked me why he got the candy bar and I told him that his car was the slowest. Then he said “I should make a bad car every year so I can get a chocolate bar!”
