October 27-Lights Out

When we got home from Jambo we saw the road was blocked off and lots of our neighbors were milling around on the side of the road. Turns out we had no power since a drunk driver took out the power pole.

We spent the next 4 hours with these.

The kids weren’t sure that we could do anything without power. They thought it was odd to take a bath by candlelight. It was a good teaching moment. The power was back on much sooner than we had originally been told.

We had such a busy fall break that we didn’t use all the deals we had. We had to use the Jambo Groupon before the end of October. The kids really like this place even though it is pretty run down.
