This year we have spent a lot of time waiting at the bus stop because of bus mixups. Here is the view while I waited one day.

Date with Eve
Eve was my date on the first day of school. She was so excited to go on our date. She wanted to go to Goodwill and the mall. We also made a brief stop at Target and had a lunch date at Taco Bell. She got a couple dresses, a shirt, and a skirt at Goodwill for her new outfit.

August 7-First Day of School

We were interviewed by Channel 3 on the way into school about the new portable school zone speed cameras and Grammy saw it on TV. We got to see it later on Good Evening AZ. Ellie was so excited that we were on TV.
Date with kids
I like to take the kids for a date each year before school starts to shop for school supplies. This year we went shopping for a new outfit since we had already gotten the school supplies as a family.
I took Ellie to AZ Mills mall. She could have stayed their much longer than 4 hours but I wanted to take Nate out on a date. We had Subway for lunch and she found her dress at The Children’s Place. Her favorite part was going into the Rainforest Café gift shop to see the fish.
Nate and I went to Wendy’s for Frostys and then to Wal-Mart for his outfit. He found two shirts that had video games on them and he was sold. I don’t have any pictures from our date but he was so excited about Stormy being on his lap that he wanted me to take a picture.
Turbo
We went to see the movie Turbo on 7/29. Trying to squeeze in a few more fun things before school starts. We sometimes entertain ourselves by taking pictures.
My phone has a “cartoonify” effect that we like to play with.
The kids thought Turbo was great.
Funny face
Ellie was playing food designer again. Carrot mouth, ranch dressing nose, mozzarella and craisin eyes, and apple eyebrows.
Library
The kids finished their reading program and so we went to get their prizes. I really enjoyed all of the food coupons they got as part of the last prize along with their free book.
We had to visit the Kaboom’s Funhouse at the library one last time before it was off exhibit.
