Labor Day Camping Trip

Ellie was our weekend manicurist. She painted anyone’s nails that was willing. She even talked a few guys into it.

Nate wondered if he was in trouble for getting his nails painted. He had picked it all off his nails by the end of the day.

Hanging out with all our friends. We had a total of 48 people.

Making tostadas for everyone for Sunday lunch. Then everybody was hanging out under the canopies playing games, reading, and chatting.

Eve loves to hang out in the truck and especially helping Daddy drive. She even put the truck into gear and shut the truck off (without being asked).

The sun is going down through the trees. It was a great camping trip!

Flashlight Tour

The Desert Botanical Gardens offers flashlight tours on Saturday nights in the summer.

On the trail. You really do need a flashlight because there is very little light (and you needed it in the bathroom).

Eve taking me very literally when I said put your light on the ground. I finally figured out saying point your light on the ground so you can see your feet worked much better. A couple of people got a giggle out of her literal interpretation.

Celebration of the First Week of School

We celebrated the first week of school (over a week ago now) by going to the 3 Ps.

Stormy

Stormy found a new sleeping spot. Although I don’t think he has gotten in it since it slipped off the couch and trapped him underneath for a few seconds.

First Day of School

Nate’s first day of second grade (Mrs. Carroll) and Ellie started kindergarten (Mrs. Crockett).

Eve was pretty cranky that morning but luckily she cheered up once we got to school.
